UNIT 10: PREPARING FOR PROGRESSION "THERE'S NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW BUSINESS" This assignment will prepare me in looking at relevant progression routes within the preparing arts industries. It will enable me to prepare suitable material for both University and Drama School progression. I will also be able to prepare relevant audition material and perform these to an "Audition Panel". We has a lesson with Sharon where we all had a monologue we all had to read word for word together then we had to read sentence for sentence together. Then we all had to explain what happened in the monologue, we also had to ask questions and state words that grabbed our attention that we don't know about. We was working on this monologue because during the holidays my class was asked to find a monologue to go through in order to perform it. So I've found one monologue which I really liked and it was called "Dialogue of the Gods" and I played Hera. DIALOGUES...
UNIT 9: PERFORMANCE PROJECT (THE CHRISTMAS PLAY) This unit builds on developing my skills from the first year. Providing on opportunity for me to critically examine my own strengths of performing and production arts activities. We will be working on a collaborative piece of the work and will research relevant source materials to provided a comprehensive approach to the development of the piece. We will continually evaluate our work and will record the process in appropriate forms. In Robs lesson everyone split into groups of 6 and 6, there was 4 groups. In those groups we had to come up with our own creative Christmas play. In Sharon's practical work we had to perform our ideas. My groups idea was about Mr and Mrs Claus, Mrs Claus use to love Christmas but stopped because children have started to be bad and getting spoilt, Mrs clause has brainwashed Mr Claus with this information.
